Beer Living is Back Home

The business trip to France is over. My trip plans regarding beer did not mature too well as the business part of the trip took most of my time (oh those damn work things). I did manage to have a few new French beers to add to my Year in Beer list. But not as many as I had planned. I probably had more beer in  US airports waiting for flights. In Atlanta, I found a bar, named  The Bar (wow, who thought of that name?) which had some delicious 420 Extra Pale Ale from the Sweetwater Brewing Company. And on the return trip through Cincinnati I had Kentucky Ale from the Lexington Brewing Company.  Upon sitting down  at the bar in Cincinnati (no, not The Bar, just a bar) I was confused at the small sign on the wall regarding the drinking age in Kentucky. Hmmm..Cincinnati is in Ohio….and I’m drinking in Kentucky…must be the jet lag I thought. It turns out  the Cincinnati airport is just across the river and is actually in the state of Kentucky.  Oh, well, it didn’t stop me from drinking  beer. Nothing like some decent beer to get you through those long airport layovers….
