The days surrounding Christmas and New Years make for some challenging times for writing about beer. Which explains why there has not been much activity on Beer Living in the recent days. But never fear we are still living the beer life here. While finding time to write about beer is difficult, the drinking of beer is doing just fine thank you.
One of the new Christmas traditions in the Beer Living home is to jump in the swimming pool on Christmas Eve. This year the tradition was expanded to include enjoying a Samichlaus beer (brewed by Brauerei Schloss Eggenberg in Austria) prior to jumping in the 58 degree water. The pre-jump festivities may include several beers, though only one has to be a Samichlaus. The post-jump festivities include the hot tub, more beer and waiting for Santa. Needless to say The Beer Goddess skips the pool jumping portion of the tradition. She also skips the Samichlaus portion but that is another story. However she does real well in the hot tub beer drinking portion.
